How is America’s ToothFairy making a difference?
Increasing Access to Care: By providing valuable donated products, educational materials, and financial grants to 80+ nonprofit clinics that treat underserved children, America’s ToothFairy helps increase access to vital preventive services and treatment for children in need. To date, America’s ToothFairy has delivered more than $17 million in resources to nonprofit dental clinics and programs throughout the U.S.
Expanding Delivery of Oral Health Education: Because pediatric dental disease is largely preventable, America’s ToothFairy focuses on expanding delivery of oral health education that helps children and youth prevent tooth decay and establish lifelong positive oral health behaviors.
Engaging Students as Oral Health Advocates: The America’s ToothFairy Student Leadership Program provides multiple channels for high school, college, and professional students to serve as oral health educators and advocates in their communities.
Raising Awareness Outside of Dentistry: Collaboration with an array of service organizations outside the dental space, such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the National Association of School Nurses, and Special Olympics provides avenues to raise awareness of oral health among large populations of underserved children.
Local and International: America’s ToothFairy volunteer dental professionals and students are active in every state in the U.S., in Canada, and throughout the world through mission trips and volunteer service.
